Summary: Some KDE apps void clipboard on exit
           Product: kde
           Version: 4.2.2
          Platform: Compiled Sources
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: unassigned-bugs at kde.org
        ReportedBy: 4ernov at gmail.com

Version: (using KDE 4.2.2)
Compiler: GCC 4.3.2 Target: x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu Configured with:
../gcc-4.3.2/configure --prefix=/usr --libexecdir=/usr/lib --enable-shared
--enable-threads=posix --enable-__cxa_atexit --enable-clocale=gnu
--enable-languages=c,c++,fortran,objc,treelang --disable-multilib --enable-c99
--enable-long-long Thread model: posix
OS: Linux
Installed from: Compiled From Sources

I've noticed that several KDE applications (i've noticed it for at least KWrite
and Kate) empty the clipboard on exit. Also, I've noticed that it's generally
for saved documents (for unsaved clipboard sometimes works). To reproduce:
1. Start some previously saved document in, for instance, KWrite.
2. Select some text and Ctrl+C it.
3. Close KWrite.
4. Open it once again.
5. Try to paste the text. You can't.

I've found it not 100% reproducible, so maybe it will need several times to
reproduce.
