Installed from:    Ubuntu Packages

1. Connect a second monitor
2. Go to system settings->display

-> The monitor is not detected. Even if you restart X there is still no second
monitor shown to configure

Had same results with a Notebook GeForce 9600 M and 180.44 drivers and desktop
pc with GeForce 8800 GT and some 170.x drivers (can't remember exact version).
