Summary: interruptions in sound with Kaffeine
           Product: kde
           Version: 3.5
          Platform: Mandriva RPMs
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: unassigned-bugs at kde.org
        ReportedBy: mlfasf at comcast.net

Version: (using KDE 3.5.10)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Mandriva RPMs

I clicked on a wav file that was an attachment to an incoming email. It popped
up a Kaffeine window, and started playing out the wav file, but the sound had
lots of brief silent interruptions in it (probably about a tenth-second
interruption every few seconds).

I also saved that wav file to my personal directories, and tried playing it
with Kaffeine...same result. But I can play that same wav file fine using the
sox play command.

I followed the instructions in KDE Control Center -> Sound -> Sound System, but
"Auto Suspend" was already enabled. I tried decreasing the "suspend after x
seconds" from 90 seconds to 30 seconds, but it didn't help.
