i have got the same problem as above.
few hours before i have turned off my computer, now im back and it's like
Markus reported above.
additionally i have lost ALT key functionality so i am not able to switch
between windows using ALT+TAB etc also ive got problems with F12 etc 
so sth is wrong :|  

i'm using kubuntu 8.04  + kde 4.1.2
