I got no such problem on Fedora 9 with KDE up to 4.1.2 until upgrading recently
to KDE 4.1.3. Since that time I am getting the same annoying messages as put in
the very first comment. Mounting by hand works fine, but it is nuisance when
you deal with several USB drives.
