Summary: Windows of a certain desktop appears in task panel for
                    all desktops
           Product: kde
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Debian stable
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: unassigned-bugs kde org
        ReportedBy: hadeed hadeed-power com

Version: (using KDE 3.5.8)
Installed from: Debian stable Packages
OS: Linux

First, I would have included this in wish list, but I thought that it can be considered as a bug.

In KDE, whether you are using multiple desktops with the help of Beryl, Compiz, Compiz Fusion or just the normal KDE multiple desktops, when switching to another desktop or work place, the task panel at the bottom of the screen carries with it all the windows of the previous desktop.
It should be cleared as if no applications are open. I've suffered from this problem for some time until I tried Ubuntu, I discovered the GNOME have solved that. So when you switch to a new desktop, nothing is there in the task panel, just a new fresh desktop.
Also note, that if some activity happens in the other desktop, the user might be notified from the small pager applet. (such as messenger activities)

The real bug here is, if you open for example only 5 windows in each of your 4 desktops, your task panel will be cluttered with applications 5 in each of the 4 desktop means 20 items in the task panel, so the multiple desktop would be then useless.

The problem describes it's self, nevertheless, to re generate:

1. In an empty workspace, open few windows. (They appear in the task panel bottom of screen)
2. Switch to another desktop. (They are still visible in the task panel!)

Expected Behaviour:
When switching to a new desktop (fresh), task panel should be cleared, otherwise, should only contain the active windows in that certain desktop.
