bonjour

As I am using nPOP as email client, see my message about minimalism, I did install

K-Menu > click on "recent documents" right (egg-timer icon) >> right click on "document" nPOP (yes, Wine programs appair in the Recent doc's list!) >>> add to Panel

this fine email client in my task bar.

if it is running I have now an real icon right, this second link but not as icon in the task bar, and a third reference in the bar under the started programs

a/ I would find finer it the existing icon from wine applications would be always used after start an not an anonym place holder icon

b/ only one unique appear would be enough (grey covered if inactive, light if active) to make the information on the screen more consistent!

c/ it would be better to find the shadow of recently started programs at an other place as in the list of documents (in the also existing list of "recent applications" or in a new list of "recent Wine starts")

d/ I don't like those lists of recent without indication of the place you can open the list itself with an simple editor and scheck it you find a old automatic generated copy with "~" , you know. the best way would be

Title (big or bold)
and, under each title (smaller), info if unlisted or, if listed, doc place of the were the administration of the list happens
left click on it: the directory where the list is, opens
right click on it: invitation to change the settings to permit to the user don't to be controlled by Big brother like in Microsoft Windows

perhaps it is good for an employer to get infos about the usage of computer and times but it has to be completely transparent and it would have more future to foresee an directly accessible (in /root or in /home/<ME> ) directory where the user can see all the registrations maked by the system and any program concerning him !!!!

I am a little schocked that this it is not yet a worry (Sorge, German, soucis, French, I don't know the exact word on English) for the developpers of new systems like KDE, integretated browsers, text processors, viewers, players, etc... !

salut
