Summary: kio_http is the hydra--memory is consumed by dozens of
                    kio_http processes
           Product: kde
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Compiled Sources
        OS/Version: unspecified
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: unassigned-bugs at kde.org
        ReportedBy: leonardoaidos at gmail.com

Version: (using Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources

After a few minutes of normal use, the machine slows to a crawl. A top -u user
reveals that there are several dozen kio_http processes. Programs in use are
usually KTorrent, Arora, Yakuake, KNetworkManager, and three KDE twitter
plasmoids.

A killall -9 kio_http alleviates the problem for a few minutes.

Running openSUSE 11.1 using the trunk snapshot packages.
