Making field visibility dependant on another field

I would like to use Tellico for my home inventory so have made a custom collection. This custom collection will hold all fields for all categories (books, dvds, movies, etc.).

I would like to know if it is possible to have category fields become visible depending on selection of that category in the Entry Editor. If not, is it possible to have fields not show in the Entry View if they are empty?

I can’t see any way of doing the first so don’t think it is possible yet.
