Hi,

depends on what exactly you mean by recovery files, as there are several:

1. "Emergency saves" of the R workspace, in case of a crash. These are always enabled, but whether or not an emergency save can be done depends on the nature of the crash. It works most of the time, but can't be guaranteed to work in every case.
2. Automatic saves of R script files. Settings->Configure RKWard->Script editor->Autosaves.
3. Meanwhile the katepart has gained support for automatic saving of recovery files. The advantage over 2) is that these should be recovered, automatically, the next time you open the file. Frankly, I don't know where that would be configured, though.

Did you mean one of these or something different?

Regards
Thomas
