This is still a mystery to me. Could you try the following, to try to narrow
down the problem:

- Create a new R workspace, with nothing, or only few objects in it. Save it
to "temp.RData", exit RKWard.
- Copy the workplace file you posted to "temp.RData.rkworkplace".
- Start RKWard and open temp.RData .

Does this trigger the same problem?

In a session that is affected: What happens when you run

in the R console (in theory, this should close all windows, and re-open them)?

Which version of KDE are you using?
