I get the options menu at startup, then select the .RData

Yes, and the tabs in the menu work. But the contents of the window does not
change

I'll do it in a while

Note: the problem occurs on 2 different computers running ubuntu 10.04
and I suspect it's related to opening a large .RData file (related to memory
resources?).
Do you know of a tool I could use to make a video of my starting up under linux
so that you could actually sse the problem?
