Hi Andreas,

thanks for the additonal info, and the debug output. I think I now have a pretty
good idea what's going wrong, and will look into a fix tonight. After that I
would like to ask you test the fix (I'll contact you by mail, then). Therefore,
while the problem seems to be related to R 2.3, indeed, I would be nice, if
you could hold off on updating R for a little while longer, so we will know,
whether the fix actually works for R 2.3.
