<p dir="auto">As a bit of background, we try to provide looong backwards compatibility, as a significant portion of our user base expects to use the most recent R on ridiculously old desktop installations. Therefore, even after we had synced our additions to ktexteditor/syntaxhighlighting we kept the file around, deliberately. However, it really hasn't seen any truly important changes for many years, now, so indeed the time seems to have come to remove this copy.</p>
