I'm also neither a packager nor a release and joined both lists recently, 
since I learned that sometimes things are discussed there which I feel like I 
should know about.

And, if you want to check something in the release tarballs, this kind of 
makes you some kind of packager, at least a "person dealing with packages" ;-)
