Hi,

I started playing with Instapaper's API last week. But I realized that it was
very restrictive and you can't list bookmarks using it until you're a
subscribed (paid) user. So I built a small application using Webkit. It runs
in system tray, and shows notification about pages saved for reading later when
user is idle. It can also be used to add articles on Instapaper. Sources can
be found here:

I parse Html page to get list of articles saved on server (easily breakable
solution), but later on I realized same could be achieved using RSS feed of a
folder in Instapaper. So if we want to implement same solution in Rekonq, we
can use RSS. As someone pointed out we should do it using a plugin, and I am
still unsure about plugin support in Rekonq.

Hi,

Instapaper ( http://www.instapaper.com/ ) is a web-based service used to save
pages for reading later. I have used it for some time, but I have noticed that
most of the time people save pages to read later , but never read them again.
AFAIK the reason being there is no feature to remind people about these saved
pages. I would like to see such feature in Rekonq. So let's say a user starts
Rekonq for first time in a Kde session, he should get a reminder about pages
saved on Instapaper for reading later, or notification can be made when user is
idle for some time. This could be done using Instapaper's web service API. I
would like to know what do you guys think about this idea ?

If this is paid solution, I don't think we should "sponsor" or promote it in
any way.
As someone before pointed out, there are "standard" solutions to achieve the
same results that are bookmarks and syncing. At least you can add en entry on
some calendar implementation (akonadi? G cal? Both?) to remember about it.
I don't see the need to pass for a new application or a 3rd party web service.
