Yes

I think such a folder should be built-in. Whether the user interface
to add favorites is the same as for bookmarks or not, they should
still be available as a folder through your bookmarks. This would
make it easier to add them, easier to manage them, and allow you to
access them from the bookmarks panel.

I have an idea about how favorites could work. You have a special,
dedicate folder in the bookmarks list for favorites. When you click
the little star in the address bar, it adds the favorite to that
folder initially. You can then either click the star again to move it
to a different folder, or you can open the bookmarks manager to move
it to a different folder.

I think it should be available in addition, not as a replacement. We
need that sort of information for the address bar anyway, so I think
including it in the new tab page would be a great idea.

It should remember the resource you used last and re-use it. So if
the used the bookmarks last, it should open to bookmarks. If you used
closed tabs last, it should open to closed tabs.

I think the bookmarks tab should have more complete bookmarks managing
functionality. This would allow expanding/collapsing folders, moving
bookmarks, editing them, searching, and so on. Sort of like an
embedded bookmarks panel. At the very least it must allow for
collapsing and expanding folders, I have a ton of bookmarks in dozens
of folders, so it is essentially useless to me now.

The history panel should be similar.

If possible, the download tab should show a live download progress
list, rather than just a list. At the very least it should
differentiate completed, failed, canceled, and in-progress downloads.
