</div>Guys, I'm still really really wondering why we don't simply use Plasma<br>
technologies, which provides all the API we need, which has been studied by<br>
really knowledgeable people, and analyzed in every detail. Why reinventing<br>
the wheel and try to overengineer things when there's no need for that?<br>
<br>
Or, even better, why we don't just use kickoff as backend (with the model-view<br>
approach) and just write a new delegate for painting? That's by far the<br>
easiest, most bugfree and quicker route, and allows us to concentrate just on<br>
the view. And then we can simply expand incrementally from there. But giving<br>
something to people to look at and to play with will give us much feedback<br>
and new developers.<br>
