I've been an ardent supporter of Q+ for many years and it is indeed a sad day. I do mostly front-end work and knew once HTML5 and CSS3 started to gain traction, The days of Q+ were numbered.<br><br>I've since moved on to Aptana3 like many others here and have grown pretty comfortable with it. It still has its drawbacks, but for now, it's good. I've also installed the Zen Coding plugin and have seen my coding speeds increased substantially.<br>

This brings me again to issue of loosing Quanta
the best web d?veloppent app I have ever used
It does not work in
Ubuntu 11.10
nor Debian Squeeze
That is a sad issue
I am still running Debian Lenny
on my work station and I will stay with this as long as I am standing!
On my lap top with Squeeze I use Vbox to run Ununtu 10.4 to just to have
quanta.
So please somebody what is the issue why has d?veloppement stopped on
this ?
some while back I offered a contribution but I never got an answer..
How are we going to make people leave the wonderful world of Window and
Mac (Free BSD kernel)
If they come up with this kind of problem all the time

Did I not hear of a Quanta now being commercialised

Has anyone had any luck installing Quanta in Kubuntu 11.10?
I had it installed on 11.04 but the upgrade deleted it for me *<]:o(
I downloaded the source files but I have no luck with doing installs
that way. There's something about the method that I just don't understand.

As far as I know development for quanta is sleeping.
I would like to pick up the quanta project, but it is far too much for me.
I know Fedora gnome 15 supports the old quanta, only the kio slaves ( so no
sftp and so on) no support...
Netbeans and Aptana also offer good functionality, but I agree Quanta rocks
still the webdev space
