<p>Does the specified path contain (<tt style="background: #ebebeb; font-size: 13px;">/home/nate/kde/usr/lib64/gtk-3.0/</tt>) <tt style="background: #ebebeb; font-size: 13px;">modules</tt> directory with the <tt style="background: #ebebeb; font-size: 13px;">libcolorreload-gtk-module.so</tt> file?<br />
If there it is, try launching GTK app with:</p>
<div class="remarkup-code-block" style="margin: 12px 0;" data-code-lang="text" data-sigil="remarkup-code-block"><pre class="remarkup-code" style="font: 11px/15px "Menlo", "Consolas", "Monaco", monospace; padding: 12px; margin: 0; background: rgba(71, 87, 120, 0.08);">gtk-app --gtk-module /home/nate/kde/usr/lib64/gtk-3.0/modules/libcolorreload-gtk-module.so</pre></div>

<p>Yes, you can, but that's inconvenient. According to <a href="https://developer.gnome.org/gtk3/stable/gtk-running.html" class="remarkup-link" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer">this</a> you can specify <tt style="background: #ebebeb; font-size: 13px;">GTK_PATH</tt> environment variable, so that GTK knows where to search for modules. It works for me at least.</p>
<p>I also noticed a <strong>dynamic</strong> recoloration bug: it doesn't work if the app is launched with the color scheme, that it was using in the previous launch. To make it work I have to change color scheme and relaunch the app. The app therefore changes its color scheme to a new one and it is now reacting to color scheme change properly (i.e. changes it without restart).</p></div></div><br /><div><strong>REPOSITORY</strong><div><div>R99 KDE Gtk Configuration Tool</div></div></div><br /><div><strong>BRANCH</strong><div><div>set-colors</div></div></div><br /><div><strong>REVISION DETAIL</strong><div><a href="https://phabricator.kde.org/D28072">https://phabricator.kde.org/D28072</a></div></div><br /><div><strong>To: </strong>gikari, cblack, Plasma<br /><strong>Cc: </strong>ngraham, davidre, plasma-devel, Orage, LeGast00n, The-Feren-OS-Dev, cblack, jraleigh, zachus, fbampaloukas, GB_2, ragreen, ZrenBot, himcesjf, lesliezhai, ali-mohamed, jensreuterberg, abetts, sebas, apol, ahiemstra, mart<br /></div>
