I'd like to propose to change Krunner's default activation shortcut away from Alt+F2 and keeping that as a secondary shortcut for legacy purposes in Plasma Next

Reasons:

F keys are very often mapped to multimedia/utility keys on laptops, pressing Alt+F2 then requires pressing a three-keys combo, which gets quite awkward because of the following reason:

Alt and F2 are just too far away from each other - lowest keyboard row vs. highest row

additionally, if you type with the standard typing hand stance (with your index fingers resting on F and J and your palms resting below spacebar), you simply cannot reach F2 without raising your palm off the keyboard, add to that pressing two more keys (fn on laptops) in the opposite row and it gets quite annoying

given the above, most of the times you have to look where F2 actually is because you're changing your hands position into mid air, or do some other position detection (as it's not reachable from the standard typing position)

small hands have bigger trouble reaching those

Proposal:

Change the shortcut to something that's more closely to each other like Alt+Space or Ctrl+Space --> same row, no need to raise your palm off, in case of Ctrl+Space no need to look for F2 because Ctrl is in most cases the most outward key (except some laptops) and spacebar is where your thumb is (or should be)

Keep Alt+F2 as a secondary shortcut

Additional question - have you ever changed krunner's shortcut in your setup?
