</div>We should try to show the progress in the systray icon itself, IMO. I've played<br>
around with it (connection progress in the networkmanager plasmoid), and it works<br>
nicely for smaller sizes. This way we could show the overall progress as a pie or<br>
ring that completes itself in the panel, when you click on it, you get the job<br>
tracking extenders.<br>

However, maybe it should be like fading in and out (not enough to totally go away), so it'd still call user's attention that it's still running, as you could have such a large job that it'd be with one dash (pie slice) for a long time. Today, the spinning widget gives user that status information, so, no regressions here.<br>
