with each other, what about writing one DataEngine for, e.g. fetching images,<br>
and then allow different backends to feed that one DataEngine?<br>

this is how weather and comics work, and it keeps the interface to the<br>
visualizations consistent because as far as they are concerned there only is<br>
one interface.<br>
