<div dir="ltr">On second look, this did not fix the issue. systray-refactored had a lot of visable repaints happening that went away when I loaded the kdebase systray instead. But the high cpu usage by plasma was still there. Recompiling kdebase with the panel.cpp fix in revision 866998 brings the repaint issue under control.<br>

<div dir="ltr">I had this issue and resolved it by removing systray-refactored from playground/base and replacing it with the kdebase systray and restarting plasma. It's kind of annoying that they have the same name so whichever one you install last (probably the one in playground/base if you're compiling it) is the one used.<br>
<br>The systray plasmoid is located at /path/to/kde4/lib/kde4/plasma_applet_systemtray.so. Either just reinstall kdebase or copy it from where you built the kdebase version.<br><br clear="all">Jim<br><br>
