Switch and Checkbox items

I really don't think one replaces the other. I have switches and checkboxes,
on my Android phone and I clearly sees that depending on the context it
fits better.
I think what's missing is a switch widget on the desktop and guidelines when
to use either of them.

For example, in print manager I used a switch on each printer,
since it's a device and I find more natural to turn it on/off.

On Apper updater only checkboxes are used since I'm checking
and update not, turning it on or off.

So as a general rule I think switches makes sense to things like
turn the whole network off (like with have switches on our laptops),
turn bluetooth on/off, but if you have to pick options that usually require
some text checkbox is the right choice.

I don't think droping one in favour the other is the way to go. Good
and easy to read guidelines are.

Best.
