Hmm, in fact, i don't want to touch to kickoff philosophy, but i think another menu built on the same foundation (to reuse a big part of the code) but with a slightly different display could make a difference for those that are not totally satisfied with the original version.<br>
<br>I think it's difficult to display the content of 5 differents tabs in the same area : eithier you've got pretty much white space or you need to scroll, that's why i proposed this idea. And in fact, as i said, it's pretty much like the gnome menu but whithout using half of the taskbar and is much more powerful.<br>
<br>I agree my mockups are not that sexy, and this probably make also a difference =)<br><br>And it's true that a like to browse all the apps of a newly installed distro, and it's not really great to do it so with kickoff.<br>
