hi all..<br><br>good news / bad news:<br><br>good news -> the applet handle now does the right thing and changes the size<br>of the applet directly. this also means that the size gets restored properly<br>between plasma sessions.
<br><br>bad news -> we need to do some minor surgery to many of the applets.<br><br>the reason for the bad news is that many applets were either written before<br>the size controls available in Widget or else they copied from these earlier
<br>widgets. whoops!<br><br>what needs to be done is for all the size variables that applets are managing<br>themselves to be gotten rid of and instead use Widget::setSize and<br>Widget::size() which does the same thing .. but allows things like the applet
<br>handle to interact with this size as well.<br><br>this would make a great junior job; i'm willing to go through all the applets<br>myself, but it would be great if some of you would like to help out as well<br>=)</blockquote>
