Summary: mouse hover behaviour with the kickoff menu
           Product: plasma
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: SuSE RPMs
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: panel-devel kde org
        ReportedBy: john_wilson telus net

Version: 4.01 (using KDE 4.0.83)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

The choices/icons/tabs at the lower part of the kickoff menu activate when the mouse pointer hovers or passes over them causing the menus to suddenly change while the user is attempting to navigate to another choice in the menu(s) above.

This behaviour can and does cause disorientation for the user and subsequently the user losing their place in the menu structure.

These should only become active following a positive mouse click leaving the menu the user is navigating through in place to avoid disorientation and frustration with the menu plasmoid as a whole.

Correcting this behaviour, which appears to be the intended behaviour, will improve the user interaction with the menu.
