i like it. two things i'll probably do once this is in is experiment with (a) putting it on top of the buttons (to provide a "safe zone" to prevent accidently mousing over  buttons and in switch-on-hover mode changing pages simply by moving the mouse too far down and (b) add a logos.svg to the SVG theme that can contain various logos we can use throughout plasma.
