You may have a valid reason for shooting down the '1990s Style Menu' name, however in this particular case, I think that is fitting.  That's really the timeframe in which that type of menu became popular and widely used.

A more technical name for it might be Nested Lists Menu, though that seemed too technical for me to suggest.

As far as providing screenshots of it, I don't think that would really be practical for most of these.  However if you want something really flashy how about just providing a nameless widget-foundry, a container that has every last widget inside of it and just lets you drag out a clone.

Actually that might work better then your image suggestion, but the name still doesn't clearly tell me that it is not the menu that I was trying to replace.
