first to the second bug report:<br>
this am/pm thing isn't valid, you need something like HH:MM (e.g.
12:00).<br>

i've got an question to your first bugreport. Do you changed the
timezone since creating the event?<br>

The server is set to UTC and my local is EST, not sure if that
makes a difference or not...

In other experimentation, the ace-editor has been solid and
overall ownCloud is looking really good!
