[Owncloud] slow performance on shared folders

Hi guys,

Just upgraded to version 5.0.8 and I am still seeing the slow performance problems with shared folders which have large amount of files and subfolders. By performance problems I mean it takes 30+ seconds to go to a shared folder which has around 30 subfolders with around 400-500 files stored between them. If I browse the same folders as the user who owns the shared folders i do not see any performance issues.

This makes owncloud unusable as it breaks the whole idea of sharing folders and documents.

Could someone from development team tell me if this issue is being addressed in the next release or should I just give up and use another product? I am surprised that this issue has not been flagged as a Major problem.

Thanks

Andrei

Thanks for the link. I will take a look at it. However, in my case this issue only effects shared folders. The performance of other folders is pretty good.

Anyone from the development team, could you please send an update when the fix to this issue will be released to the stable version release?

Many thanks

Andrei

Hi,

some infos about performance tweaking of OC could be found at the forums:

https://forum.owncloud.org/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=10692

If the slow performance is only happening at shared folders this probably
won't help
but i think you could give it a try.
