That bug is about Okular being installed as snap/flatpak.<br>
It makes some sense that snap/flatpak breaks this feature.<br>

So I understand that your Ubuntu based distribution does not ship a newer <br>
Okular, so you tried to install a newer version via snap or flatpak?<br>

Otherwise, if you observed the feature to work in older versions with snap/<br>
flatpak, that would be an interesting information, which you may add to the <br>
