           Product: okular
           Version: 23.04.1
          Platform: Manjaro
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED

  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
When using the "inline text" annotation, the appearance of the words i am
typing is very slow, the okular start slowing down and not responding.
sometimes it respond after i stop taking the inline text; other times a message
appear that the application is too busy and ask me to force quit or wait. when
i looked at the process that is running, when i try to take inline text
annotation, okular appear the number one application in using the CPU; it uses
a great amount of CPU. but once i stopped taking the annotation it return to
normal.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. open any pdf file
2. click ALT + F6 to open inline text annotation
3. use the mouse to select the area in which you want the annotation to appear
4. once the box opened - in which you take notes inside - start typing your
notes
5. okular will slow down and the words will appear on the box after a long time
of typing it

EXPECTED RESULT
when i use okular on windows this problem does not appear - with the same PDF
file or different one. and when i was using okular on Ubuntu, the same problem,
also, does not appear. it seems that the problem is related to manjaro.
