1. You wouldn't have to search them all before displaying the results. It could
simply be counting upwards while finding new results. If you look at other
pdf-viewers, they do the same thing and it doesn't noticably change the speed.

2. Now that we know that this doesn't slow down, I have to agree: This feature
probably is useless, if you try to find a very common word ("the") in a
200-Page document.
However:
a. As we have established, it doesn't noticeably slow down the searching
process, thus it doesn't do any harm.
b. It really helps when searching somewhat common / uncommon words, no matter
the document size. Which is why it should be included.
