Hello. I have a very similar problem in Okular 1.9.2 for Windows (the current
Microsoft Store version).
The difference is, typewriter annotations are not displayed EVEN in Okular.
Neither in Chrome 80.0. Foxit Reader 9.7 works fine but the text color remains
black.
