Hi,
I am Umang Malik, a Computer Science sophomore at IIT Kanpur, India. I
would like to express my interest in participating in this year's GSoC
under KDE. Having a look at the projects, I am particularly interested in
"Add support for showing and adding replies to sticky notes".
Being an old and active user of Okular, and having tried a variety pdf
readers in the past, I believe this is a handy and important feature for
Okular. I have successfully built Okular locally and also reproduced issue
387834 <https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=387834>.

I've been programming for over four years and am proficient with
development, be it through coursework, internship, or projects. Some of my
key projects include an autocorrect application
<https://github.com/umang-malik/autocorrect> in C++ (using Visual Studio
for GUI) and SAT solver
<https://github.com/tanmayanand44/CS202-Assignments-Fall-2018/tree/master/Assignment2>
(using
DPLL algorithm). You can find my github profile here
<https://github.com/umang-malik>.

I would like to work on the project for replies on sticky notes and would
like to formally discuss the idea with you. Also, it would be great if I
can get some suggestions for bugs I could fix to get familiar with the code
and contribute.

Regards!
Umang Malik
