So, how is the status now?
Can I save the pdf with the annotations or not?
Why should I make annotations whithout being able to SOMEHOW save them?
a) in an external/globally saved xml
b) in the pdf itself
c) in a copy of the pdf+annotations somewhere.

I'm sorry but reading through the comments I have the feeling everybody tries
to neglect, that this issue is far more than a whishlist-thing. It's a killer
criterium!
Now I have to make notes as a text document in the same folder as the pdf. So
there is thrashing, anyway!
