Actually, that's how it is supposed to work right now. I use the word
"supposed" cause I've never tried it out. But the code is there.

The feature will continue, and after thinking about it a bit more, I don't
think there are any problems will approach number 1. It does solve at last
the main use case. Though I'm not particularly happy about how badly the
performance degrades when the RMM is in use.
