It might work, but no guarantees what so ever :)<br>

<div>I looked and couldn't find anything that confirms this. That doesn't mean it isn't true. Regardless, if all it takes is an #ifdef in the C++ and a conditional in the Java init code to support it, I think it makes sense to do so. Even if only for easing
in porting of legacy code. I'll try to submit the patch tomorrow (U.S.), today was more busy than I thought.

I would disagree; a lot of people still use GLES v1 because it's "easier" and gives you something to start with. GLES v2 isn't a superset; you have to make custom shaders to do anything, even if you want to just draw lines on the screen. It gives more flexibility
