Question about fonts

Hi,

I wonder where the fonts come from?

In place of Hindi text I only see squares.    The same text  is ok on 
desktop.

Strange enough, of the languages/fonts I've tried only Hindi seems 
missing.  For instance, Arabic, Thai, and Urdu seem to work ok.

Unrelated thing: Flippable works but is not very smooth.  Presumably 
because software raster rendering is used?
