What would you estimate the level of effort to be to add bird’s eye view to Marble? Is something like this workable within the current Marble architecture, or would Marble’s architecture need to be significantly reworked?

<div class="">Based on the image found at <a href="https://blogs.kde.org/2012/04/05/looking-google-summer-code-students-opengl-mode-marble" class="">this blog post</a> it does seem doable, but I guess the changes were never incorporated into the main branch.
 Is there a reason why they weren't?<br class="">
