I'm blaming KNS3 in 4.6 RC 1 though; the normal upgrade via the download dialog doesn't work here either. Furthermore normal installations via KNS3 are not properly registered for me. Writing entries to the KNS3 registry seems to fail.
Maybe someone can check it who has a working KNS3 installation.
