When opening a folder, the items are shown in the Project tab and that <br>
causes the weird behavior.<br>
<br>
This is due to the fact that *findGitFiles()* (or whatever is called) <br>
will miss those files, so one needs to open a file via a file explorer <br>
when the implicit promise from "Open Folder" is "show me all the folder <br>
files".<br>
