<p>Status quo, a state of no art ;) This is undoubtedly because neither server nor WM (the more logical candidate) implemented the feature, which in turns is undoubtedly because it was considered too expensive and generally unnecessary.</p>
<p>So there's a status quo, and there are applications that *can* work around it. So what? The proposed KWin feature here is optional; users who activate it can disable the corresponding feature in applications that offer one.</p>
