Also it would be good to have another one for Newbie questions, so
anyone who needs to learn the actual use of the software can go there.

forum as well. Also a different Newbie subforum under the Development

I think the General forum serves the newbie thing just fine. I know,
you're a ubuntu guy, ;) and they have newbie forums, but I don't see
any reason to separate those guys from us. It just makes another place
we have to watch. If it gets to the point where we need it, we'll add
it then.<br>
