I don't know how many people are on this list, but I suspect there are quite a few others in the same situation as me.</DIV>

<DIV>OSS is inherently globally distributed which offers a fantastic opportunity for talented people with similar interests to collaborate. At the same time it could be very beneficial for the project if collaborators were actually able to meet in person. We are social animals and in my professional experience with off-shore offices and outsourcing, the productivity of the distributed working relationship is greatly improved once the people involve meet face-to-face. Depending upon where contributors are located, regional meet ups might be possible. Perhaps we could enhance the wiki area for this...</DIV>
