<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size:11.0pt">As a beginning astrophotographer I’m climbing the steep learning curve. I have chosen to go with KStars/Ekos as an all integrated platform for managing the whole imaging pipeline. After the third
imaging session, I think I’m encountering a bug, or the default settings for dithering is not correct for my case.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size:11.0pt"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size:11.0pt">It looks like that right after dithering, Ekos is starting the next exposure and guiding is trying to correct the dither action. The result is “shifted” stars in the resulting image.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size:11.0pt"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size:11.0pt">Please see attached two screenshots, one while guiding during an exposure and one just after dithering. I’ve also attached a stretched and cropped image. I used the default values for dithering.
My setup is as follows:<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size:11.0pt">- Canon 550d with Gphoto<o:p></o:p></span></p>
