Hello,<br><br>perhaps I&#39;m stating the obvious below, but anyway:<br><br>INDI in KStars doesn&#39;t downgrade the USB port automatically to communicate with a serial device.<br>Obviously, this results in failure to control the telescope (or rather, the mount) because the serial connection is flooded, and nothing gets through (both ways).<br>
<br>I report this because many mounts (mine included) have RS232-like serial connections, but many modern computers have abandoned these (in favour of USB ports).<br>A serial-to-USB cable won&#39;t work unless the USB port is set to communicate at a lower rate.<br>
<br>Perhaps this is something to be included in the INDI-settings of KStars, or at least as a note in the KStars manual?<br><br>V-nix<br><br>
