Yes. Probably was that.
I set up a new Virtualbox and did a fresh install from papa and all is good.
Probably needed to purge my previous version of Ksars and then reinstall with 3.5.8 from PPA that now has the correct stellarsolver.
But is the a way to check the version of stellarsolver that is installed for future reference?
Thanks!
PS I don’t know yet how to do a build and install.. still somewhat of a newbie!

The PPA has caused the bulk of the problems we have seen, especially when it set people up to use Kstars 3.5.7 with StellarSolver 2.0, when really what we wanted was for KStars 3.5.7 to continue working with StellarSolver 1.9 and for KStars 3.5.8 beta and now stable to use StellarSolver 2.0 or later. We have to figure out how to use the PPA in a better way so that doesn’t happen. Now once we started testing, we found a couple of issues and quickly released StellarSolver 2.1 and 2.2. And now I think the issues should be resolved. But still I don’t know that you got the updated 2.2 version from the PPA. I just checked and it is definitely in there. So maybe you just need to update?
